Speakers
Joe Graedon, a pharmacologist, and Teresa Graedon, a medical anthropologist, are among America’s most trusted health care authorities. They have written 9 books, including The People’s Pharmacy, and their syndicated, thrice-weekly column appears in over 100 newspapers. Their award-winning radio talk show airs weekly on over 500 stations.
Panelists
Christie Buchanan-Wellmon, Information Specialist with the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, is a technology workshop trainer. She has worked on a number of Websites and is Co-Team Leader for the HealthLink Plus Website.
HealthLink Plus Presentation (PDF file)Claudia Gollop is an associate professor at the UNC School of Information and Library Science, Chapel Hill. She is currently teaching an online class in consumer health information, and has special interests in information and reference services, consumer health information, diverse user groups, and health sciences librarianship.
Peggy Hull, UNC Health Sciences Library, Chapel Hill, is Project Director for the NC Health Info project. She has over 25 years of experience in public, special, and medical libraries.
