
The meeting was called to order by Monique Mackey at 12:30 p.m.
Melanie Norton read the minutes of the April 12, 2002 meeting that was held at the Friday Center, Chapel Hill. Minutes were approved.
Treasurer's Report: Lynn Powell reported we have $5,010 in the treasury.
Recognition of Officers and Committee Members. Monique distributed certificates of appreciation to all officers and committee members.
Remember, even if you are a member of ANCHASL you still need to register for the ANCHASL listserv.
Goals for Publicity/Public relations are to get an email listing of all the public libraries and community colleges. One person suggested contacting Robert James at Wake Tech for a listing of community college emails.

Margie Furr reported 37 registered for the workshop, "Proving Your Worth" presented by Michelynn McKnight.
Advertisements for this event were sent out to: MAC, MLA, ANCHASL and the SILS-UNC-CH listservs.
Margie thanked her committee members: Julie Garrison and Rosa Edwards.
Anita Hasty-Speed was not present. In her absence, Monique Mackey read her report.
We have 85 paid members for 2002. 12 have paid for 2003.
Approximately 22 librarians attended the North Carolina state meeting held at the MAC conference in Washington, DC.
Diane McKenzie announced that Julie and Scott Garrison would be moving to Michigan.
Beverly Murphy announced in Betsy Adams absence, that the new ANCHASL Secretary is, Rosa Edwards and new President-Elect is, Melanie Norton.
